Boilers

 

80% Efficient Hot Water Boiler:

Up until the last 3-4 years a standard boiler was typically 60-70% efficient. Now the base model is 80%. Steam boilers are made in 80% also.

Hydronic means hot water piping (see above) or radiators thru-out a home. A working system is very good at evenly heating every room in a home. Modern boilers have many more safeties and controls, making them more efficient and customers do not need to fill or monitor unit as was typical of older systems.

Typical boiler has a life of 30-50 years, the controls, fill valves, zone valves rated for around 20 years.

We install Burnham, New Yorker, and Weil McClain boilers.

 

Hi-Efficiency 95% Boiler/Combi Units:

One of the best advantages of these is that its just a big suitcase on a wall! No more bulky cast iron boiler taking up floor space, if it’s a combi unit you can get rid of the hot water tank too! Most of the controls are built into the unit

Rebates usually available on these units.
