80% Efficient Standard Furnace:

This means 80% of heat/energy is used to heat the home. 20% is vented out chimney. Single stage burner, regular psc blower motor.

80% Hi-Efficiency Furnace:

Has same efficiency as regular 80% furnace, but 2 stage burner can still save approximately 10-15% gas savings.

More importantly, the ecm/variable speed blower uses 50% less electricity than standard psc blower to do same work load. Blower is used for heating and cooling seasons, this is a big savings!

Chimney liners are code, all 80% furnaces, boilers require a chimney liner.

95% Efficient Furnace:

95% of heat/energy is being used to heat home, 5% lost to exhaust / venting.

95% single stage with psc blower ​basic model.

95% 2 stage gas heat with ecm/variable speed blower. Improves comfort thru-out house, improve heat/cooling in that farthest bedroom also. This model does benefit your existing  air conditioner.

95% to 96% modulated gas heating with ecm/variable speed blower motor.

Same benefits as above furnace but with potential further gas savings. These furnaces require a communicating thermostat for optimum performance.
