HOT WATER HEATERS

Standard Hot Water Tanks:

40-50 gallon typical size, has a standing pilot. Efficiency 60%.

Typical life span is 8-13 years.

Unit has to be vented thru a chimney liner (code).

​Most manufacturers recommend flushing tank at least twice a year.

Add a mixing valve and this will increase capacity by approximately 30-40%

(very useful depending on how many family members, especially teenagers).

High Efficiency 95% Tankless:

Navian tankless np180 can deliver a minimum constant 3.5 gallons a minute of hot water. Unit is pvc vented to outside not thru chimney.

Typical life span is 15-20 years.
