SINGLE STAGE AIR CONDITIONER:

13 seer is standard unit. Single stage call for cooling from thermostat unit turns on at 100% capacity.

​HIGH EFFICIENCY AIR CONDITIONERS:

16,20,21 seer a/c units are 2 stage or now modulated with ecm/variable compressors much higher efficiency.

Unit will come on at approximately 30-60% of capacity. This is a huge energy savings, most a/c's are oversized in homes.

There are also rebates applied to these high efficiency units.
